2024 Garra Vineyard

Our Garra Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon marks an exciting expansion of Schrader's single-vineyard portfolio, capturing the character of an exceptional yet remarkably intimate Napa Valley site. Spanning just over four acres, the vineyard is framed by heritage oak trees at its center, creating a distinctive landscape and a naturally balanced growing environment for Cabernet Sauvignon.

Situated in one of Napa Valley's most sought-after areas for Cabernet Sauvignon, Garra consistently yields fruit of depth, concentration, and clarity. The vines are healthy and balanced, allowing the site to express itself with precision.

Garra delivers a powerful yet nuanced expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, revealing brooding dark fruit, layered richness, and structured tannins that build toward a long, polished finish. Crafted with the same dedication and rigor that define Schrader, this bottling reflects our ongoing pursuit of site-driven wines that combine intensity, elegance, and unmistakable Napa Valley character.

As vintage 2024 makes its way to bottle, it is shaping up to be what many in Napa Valley are calling a classic—depth of flavor, beautifully structured, and evocative of the terroir we cherish. Generous winter rains laid the groundwork for the season, easing the impact of summer heat, while warm days and cool nights culminated in a confident, well-timed harvest that allowed each site to express its fullest potential.

As winemakers, we rarely get vintages that feel close to perfection, but 2024 was one of those years where color, depth, and vibrancy came together with remarkable balance—yielding fruit that promises compelling wines with both immediate presence and long-term cellar potential.
