The Monastery Block is located on the western side of the To Kalon Vineyard, nestled against the foothills of the Mayacamas adjacent to the Carmelite monastery from which it takes its name. The wine is produced from 100% Clone 169 Cabernet Sauvignon planted on well-drained gravelly soils, showing a classic Oakville expression that balances rich black fruit with minerality and a floral component. Elegant and classically styled, this wine is generous, layered, and fresh.

Our Beckstoffer To Kalon RBS is produced from 100% Clone 337 Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from blocks of the vineyard that receive full sun and optimal heat during the day and are cooled by marine fog at night. Unfailingly red-fruited and plush yet balanced with savory notes of roasted coffee and supple silky tannins. The most generous wine in our portfolio, RBS tends to be more approachable upon release than our other bottlings.

Produced from 100% Clone 337 Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is full-bodied with generous, plush fruit flavors that expand on the palate and carry through to the long, expressive finish. Notes of wild blueberries and blackberries lead the way, complemented by balanced flavors of espresso, black tea, and graphite.
