Vintage 2021

"The 2021 vintage looks to be incredibly strong. If I had to pick one attribute of the 2021 vintage that marks the year, for me, it would definitely be the structure. It's a very broad-shouldered year. It was the second consecutive year of drought, so we ended up with a very small crop and really small berries. This made extraction easy for flavor, color and tannin.

So really the key for our winemaking team was to keep an eye on the ferments and to be thoughtful with our pressings. I think what you're going to see from this vintage is intensely colored wines, lots of palette impact and abundant mouth-coating ripe tannins. These wines will benefit from a few years in the cellar to open up."
